This mirror is manufactured by Gentex a leading manufacturer of automotive electronic mirrors. When you place your vehicle in reverse, the 2.4" COLOR display becomes active. It shows the view behind your vehicle as you back up. When you return to Drive or Park the reverse image disappears an you have a normal mirror.
